Frequently Asked Questions Can I get a copy of your newest local documentary, "The U.P. Recalls The War"? "The U.P. Recalls The War" is our newest local history documentary. It will be available on DVD in January 2008, as a thank-you gift for a pledge of $100 or more. This DVD is being used as part of our fundraising efforts and for the next year it will be available exclusively as a thank-you gift for our Partners. We can not sell you a copy at a lower price until January 2009. Thanks for supporting Public TV 13. Where's my FanFare?
No matter the problem, please contact us at 800-227-9668. We'll immediately send you a FanFare and correct the problem. Why has FanFare shrunk? Where are the weekend daytime program listings? When postal rates went up this spring we had a significant, unexpected increase in mailing costs for FanFare. In an effort to keep costs in line with what we have been spending in the past, we decided that it was necessary to cut down the size of the guide in order to use the Post Office's "letter-sized" bulk mail rate. Reducing the overall size of the publication without adding extra pages meant cutting some content. We decided that cutting the weekend daytime listings was preferable to cutting out the photo/highlight boxes or cutting program descriptions overall. Daytime programs are listed in our daytime grid, found on page 4 of FanFare. You can also find episode descriptions for weekend series on our weekend program listings page. Where's my Thank-You gift?
Public TV 13 is very serious about protecting the billing information entrusted to us by our Partners. When you click the "Submit Form" button on our online pledge form, your information is sent to a secure server where it is kept until it is entered into our membership system. If you have concerns about pledging online, we are always glad to take pledges by mail or by phone during regular business hours (8 am-5 pm ET) at 906-227-1300 or 800-227-9668.
WNMU-TV provides a "second audio program" (known as SAP) during our broadcasts. In cooperation with the National Weather Service, our SAP provides local weather forecasts. If you are hearing this audio, your television is set to listen to the second audio program. To receive our regular TV13 audio, you need to go the audio setup menu on your TV or VCR and select "stereo" or "mono" instead of "SAP." Some remote controls also have a SAP button to control this feature.
