One-room schoolhouses once peppered the countryside; now they are near extinction with only two still operating in the Upper Peninsula. In this WNMU-TV production, hear stories from those who taught and learned in one-room schoolhouses in the U.P.

Also, witness never before seen archival film footage of teachers telling their tales of one-room schoolhouses, dating back to 1918. Based on the book, "The Diary of an Isle Royale School Teacher," by Dorothy Peterman Simonson.
