High School Bowl Season 45 Championship

High School Bowl's Championship Game: West Iron County vs. Houghton

6 months, 38 teams, and countless questions all lead up to High School Bowl's 45th final championship round where West Iron County will compete against Houghton. The final game of the 2023-24 season takes place this Saturday, April 13 at 8/7c on WNMU-TV PBS. 

38 schools from the Upper Peninsula and Northern Wisconsin competed in WNMU-TV's High School Bowl tournament, now celebrating 45 years on the air. West Iron County has won 4 games so far this year, going up against Westwood, Manistique, Ironwood, and most recently, Lake Linden-Hubbell. This is the first year West Iron County has made it to our final rounds. 

Houghton's team has also competed in 4 games, defeating Hancock, Kingsford, Painesdale-Jeffers, and Gwinn in the Semi-Finals.

The winners of the season will receive a $2500 scholarship, while the runners-up will receive $1500. Both teams have shown great teamwork, knowledge and tenacity throughout the season. Who will have what it takes to win the battle of wits? You have to tune in or stream to find out!

Aside from being broadcast locally on WNMU-TV PBS (13.1), the program is also available throughout the state of Michigan on the Michigan Learning Channel (13.4).
