Current Job Vacancies:

Graphic Designer/Communication Specialist, WNMU-TV

Duties: Promote the WNMU public broadcasting stations' image and programming by creating high quality visual and written materials for broadcast, print and web.
Required Education: Bachelor's Degree
Required Minimum Work Experience:
One year of experience in graphic design including a combination of experiences in print, web design, content development, video production and/or photography.
Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities or Attributes:
  • Ability to effectively and creatively communicate the organization's objectives through graphic design for print, broadcast and web.
  • Ability to write, edit and organize content for publications, promotion and websites.
  • Familiarity with the production requirements for print, web and video.
  • Ability to effectively respond to questions from the public via phone, email and social media.
  • Ability to operate digital cameras and arrange lighting for effective still photography.
  • Knowledge of computer operating systems and office software, and proficiency with software for creating graphics, including software applications for design, desktop publishing and web.
  • Knowledge of web site design and user interfaces.
  • Strong communication, organizing and problem-solving skills.
  • Accuracy and ability to pay attention to details.
  • Ability to conceive, develop and execute concepts and synthesize those of clients and co-workers.
Additional Desirable Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Art, Design, Communications or related field.
  • Familiarity with web content management systems.
  • Ability to operate and design graphics for broadcast character generators.
  • Ability to incorporate new technologies for electronic communication. Familiarity with video editing and production technology.
  • Familiarity with database applications and ability to organize and combine data into coherent content.
  • Familiarity with set construction and lighting.
Salary range: $37,120-$39,904
Work Schedule: Traditionally Monday-Friday, 8:00 am-5:00 pm with possible evening and weekend work required. No travel required
