Learn to Paint Like Bob Ross at WNMU-TV!
Get ready to create your own happy little masterpiece! WNMU-TV’s Bob Ross Painting Workshop returns to Marquette this November, giving aspiring artists the chance to learn the techniques of the legendary Bob Ross from Certified Bob Ross Instructor® Ted Simpson.
And this year, there’s a new twist: two different paintings, one on each day!
Whether you’re a first-time painter or have experience with a brush, these hands-on workshops are designed to be fun, welcoming and easy to follow. You’ll learn the iconic “wet-on-wet” oil painting technique made famous by Bob Ross—no previous painting experience is required.

This year, WNMU-TV is offering two different Bob Ross painting workshops:
Saturday, November 7 | 12–4 p.m.
Cabin Under the Harvest Moon
Create a peaceful autumn scene featuring a cozy cabin beneath a glowing harvest moon.
Sunday, November 8 | 12–4 p.m.
Cabin in the Mountains
Paint a beautiful mountain landscape featuring a charming cabin nestled among the scenery.
Want to paint both? You can! Sign up for one workshop or join us for both days and create two different paintings. Register for both days and paint both paintings for $250/person.
Learn from a Certified Bob Ross Instructor®
Certified Bob Ross Instructor® Ted Simpson will guide participants through the painting process step-by-step. You’ll learn techniques for creating landscapes using the wet-on-wet method while working alongside other local artists and Bob Ross fans.
No experience is required. Everyone is welcome!
