Milk Street Livestream Cooking Class: Thursday, March 26

WNMU-TV viewers are invited to join a special virtual cooking class from the team at Milk Street Cooking School. This interactive livestream event takes place Thursday, March 26, from 6:00–7:15 pm ET on Zoom and is free for WNMU-TV viewers.

Spices are one of the easiest ways to transform everyday cooking, and this class explores how to use them with confidence. Whether you prefer to cook along from your own kitchen or simply watch and learn, you'll be able to ask questions in real time during the session.

The class will be led by Milk Street instructors Rosemary Gill and April Dodd, who will guide viewers through techniques for selecting, toasting, and blending spices to build bold flavor.

On the Menu

  • Crispy Spiced Chickpeas
  • Spiced Butter Popcorn
  • Sri Lankan Deviled Cashews

During the class, you'll learn when to use whole versus ground spices, how to toast and bloom spices for deeper flavor, and simple ways to build your own spice blends. The instructors will also answer questions about sourcing spices and incorporating them into everyday meals.
